Feel The Video Fear And Do It Anyway

The number one way to drive traffic for free is video marketing when you learn how to do it right. The problem for most people is that they hate the very thought of being on You Tube – sat in front of a camera declaring to the world “I’m an internet marketer.”

Let’s face it – most people hate watching themselves on camera, hearing the sound of their own voice and find the whole thought of creating a video that the world can see absolutely terrifying.

Within the first two weeks of entering my primary business, my sponsor suggested I make 15 videos …. WHAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS? – I actually ended up making 10, deleting 8 of them within the next 7 days – keeping two as reminder of at least having started and began to study more about the industry I was in so I can produce videos with more value.

The other problems were the technical side of things such as how to edit the videos, add titles and music and convert it to a format that could be uploaded to You Tube and as for the “Out Takes” well, we had better not even go there

Well that was over a year ago and frankly I am glad that I took the plunge and just got started and although there is always plenty of room for improvement I thought I would share a few reasons why you should just Give It A Go … Get It Going & Keep Improving Everything You Do …

Madonna went on to be one of the best selling female artists of all time

Cheryl Cole .. went on to judge on X Factor and is now a solo artist

George Michael .. went on to become an international best selling artist.

What if .. they had all just given up ? (OK I hear the calls of I wish some of them would have!)

What if they had all felt so self conscious that they vowed they would never made another video?

What if they had all stopped within the first few months and gone back to their day jobs instead?

With a few exceptions, we all “suck” at the beginning … and it’s the same with internet marketing and anything else you would like to turn your mind to – but don’t expect to be a Rock Star straight out of the gate. Get it going – then get going on improving it in every way you can.

So if you are even a little bit self conscious about making a video or two in today’s marketing world, remember that we all start somewhere and if you are not using video distribution services like Mike Koenigs’ Traffic Geyser to generate Traffic then you are seriously leaving a whole lot of profit on the table and probably the best way to deliver your message and brand to the marketplace in 2010.
